Two years back I interviewed 3 homeless artists from Geelong. They spoke of their journeys, life on the streets, and the solace they each find in their creative activities. I think of these 3 people a lot, and though the film remains unreleased, I’m hoping we can share these amazing stories sometime this year... This is Stu, he’s an extremely talented musician with the greatest sense of humor. He knew how to belt out a solid cover of just about anything, as well as his own original songs…

Tom

...this is Tom. Tom became homeless after a work accident. He loved photography, and he spent much of his time homeless camped out in his broken-down car on a beach. He carried his cameras and lenses with him everywhere he went, his most prized possessions. When asked about l growing issue of homelessness in Australia, Tom said “Wake up Australia, Tassie’s floating away!” ...

Jacqui

...and this is Jacqui. Her story was truly touching, she’s had a really tough time being homeless... I found myself tearing up interviewing her (and editing the footage time and time again). Though, she was incredibly warm, inspiring, and so so talented. She had most amazing drawings and artwork. She described her experiences and her pleas for help and empathy, as “tears on deaf ears”...
